Data policy, ethics, and privacy.
Peertechz Publications values the trust authors, reviewers, and editors are putting in us when they use our submission system. This policy explains how we compile, use, store, and protect academic and personal data as well as how we ensure adherence to international norms for research and publication ethics. By using our submission system or turning in a manuscript, users agree to the following terms.
1. Range of this Policy: This policy governs all users—including authors, co-authors, reviewers, editorial staff, and others who access or use the Peertechz submission system. It covers all journals run by Peertechz Publications and controls the handling of all academic, personal, and manuscript-related data sent throughout the submission, review, and publication stages.
2. Data Gathering: When you register an account or submit a manuscript, we personally collect identifiable information including your name, email address, country, institutional affiliation, and, if available, your ORCID ID. Throughout the submission process, we compile manuscript metadata including the title, abstract, keywords, author contributions, funding, ethics, or conflict of interest disclosures.
Along with manuscript files and additional documentation, we could also log technical information including your IP address, browser type, and system activity to maintain security and improve platform performance.
3. Data Use and Objective: Your supplied data is only used for editorial and publication-related purposes. Among these are controlling manuscript review procedures, verifying authorship and ethical compliance, assigning reviewers, tracking letters, and allowing publication should your manuscript be approved. We also use this information to satisfy archiving and indexing requirements as well as to ensure transparent editorial process communication. Peertechz neither rents, sells, nor uses any personal data for profit.
4. Information Storage and Retention: Every piece of data entered on our system is securely housed on servers under limited access. Recordkeeping, conflict resolution, and citation continuity all depend on our keeping of manuscript and submission information for as long as is necessary to meet legal and scholarly standards. Personal account data may also be kept indefinitely, so long as it doesn't compromise our publishing responsibilities; unless a request for deletion is made and approved.
5. Data access and third-party sharing: Simply said Access to your data is granted to Peertechz editorial teams, assigned reviewers (where anonymised), technical support staff, and approved indexing services. Data may also be shared with law enforcement should legislation mandate it. All persons or companies who have access to your data are covered by confidentiality agreements and security protocols.
6. Cookies and Web analytics: Our system tracks session activity, lets safe logins possible, and improves user experience using cookies. These cookies neither save sensitive information. We might also use some analytics instruments to monitor system performance. While doing this could affect some functionality, users can change browser settings to control or block cookies.
7. Research and Publication Ethics: Peertechz is committed to upholding the best of academic publishing ethical standards. We follow guidelines set internationally including the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). Expected of writers is only original, unpublished work. Manuscripts involving human or animal subjects have to include the required ethics approvals. Strictly forbidden are repetitive publishing, data fabrication, and plagiarism; these can be instantly deleted or retracted.
As part of our peer review process, every paper is evaluated for ethical soundness; during the editorial screening stage, we also employ plagiarism detection tools.
8. Consent, Declarations, and Authorialism: Before being published, every author on the list has to satisfy the criteria for authorship and provide their clear permission. The corresponding author bears the responsibility of verifying that every co-author has approved the content and authoring sequence. The authors also have to reveal any institutional approvals, funding sources, or possible conflicts of interest.
Ethical declarations, together with, if relevant, trial registrations and consent for identifiable data, should be included when turning in a manuscript.
9. Respect of User Rights and Data Protection: If you live in an area where data protection laws apply—that is, the CCPA (California), the GDPR (European Union), or the UK Data Protection Act—you have the right to view, change, or ask for the deletion of your personal data. You can also object to particular methods of processing, ask for a copy of our current data on file about you, or revoke your permission for optional communications.
With such requests, you can reach us at info@peertechz.com. We will behave in line with the legal deadlines and obligations.
10. Data Security and Breach Protocols: To protect your data, our system uses the most current server security protocols, Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption, and role-based access rights. To prevent weaknesses, illegal access, and data leaks, we continuously improve and assess our systems. Should a data breach arise in the improbable event that it does, we will act quickly to notify affected individuals per legal mandate.
11. Policies and Communication Updates: Periodically, this policy may be changed to reflect changes in legal requirements, technology, or publishing standards. Users are advised to check this page regularly since any updates will show here. Regular platform use following updates indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
